Opti-Behavior offers two privacy modes that control how visitor data is stored. This article explains the difference and how to switch. Go to WP Admin → Opti-Behavior → Settings → Privacy & GDPR.
Anonymous Mode #
Anonymous Mode avoids storing personal identifiers. Instead of a raw IP address, it uses a non-personal daily hash. Because no personal data is stored, the built-in consent banner is not required in this mode.
Full Tracking #
Full Tracking stores more detail for richer reports. In this mode a consent banner is shown to visitors: if a supported third-party consent plugin is detected, Opti-Behavior uses it; otherwise the built-in banner is displayed.
How to choose #
- Open the Privacy & GDPR tab.
- Select Anonymous Mode or Full Tracking.
- Click Save Changes.

Expected result #
The selected mode is saved and governs what is stored going forward.
