User intent scoring (low, medium, high)

< 1 min read

User intent scoring rates how engaged each session is, on a low / medium / high scale. This helps you separate browsers from buyers. This article explains the scoring.

What drives the score #

Intent is derived from behavioral signals within a session, such as pages viewed, scroll depth, time on page, and interaction with key elements. Stronger engagement raises the score.

  • Low – quick, shallow visits with little interaction.
  • Medium – moderate engagement across a visit.
  • High – deep, sustained engagement signalling strong interest.

Where to read it #

Open WP Admin ? Opti-Behavior ? Dashboard and find the User Intent widget for the distribution across the selected range.

Expected result #

Most sites see a large low-intent share and a smaller high-intent group; the high group is your best audience for conversion work.

FAQ #

Can I filter reports by intent? #

Intent surfaces on the dashboard widget; deeper per-session intent is used across Smart Insights and recordings.
