Audience targeting #
Define who enters the test. Groups are combined with OR; rules inside a group with AND. Example: (mobile AND from Google) OR (returning visitor). Visitors outside the audience see the original page and are not counted.
Test schedule #
| Setting | Use |
|---|---|
| Start / end date and time | Run a test during a campaign only |
| Active days | Exclude weekends, for example |
| Active hours start / end | Only during opening hours |
| Time zone | The zone used for dates and hours |
Leave the schedule empty for an always-on test.
Examples #
| Goal | Targeting / schedule |
|---|---|
| Test a mobile-only layout | Group 1: device = mobile |
| Test an offer for ad traffic | Group 1: UTM source = google AND medium = cpc |
| Weekend promotion | Active days Saturday–Sunday, time zone of your shop |
| Business hours chat button | Active hours 09:00–18:00 |
Tips #
- Every rule reduces traffic: expect longer tests.
- Set the time zone of your audience, not of your server.
- Results only count visitors inside the audience, so compare them with care to site-wide numbers.
Expected result #
Only targeted visitors, at the scheduled times, enter the test.
FAQ #
