Consent banner auto-detection

< 1 min read

In Full Tracking mode Opti-Behavior shows a consent banner. If you already run a supported consent plugin, Opti-Behavior detects it and defers to it automatically, so visitors never see two banners. Settings are at WP Admin → Opti-Behavior → Settings → Privacy & GDPR.

Supported consent plugins #

  • CookieBot
  • Complianz
  • CookieYes / Cookie Law Info
  • GDPR Cookie Compliance (Moove)
  • Cookie Notice by TFC
  • Real Cookie Banner
  • Borlabs Cookie
  • WP DSGVO Tools

How detection works #

When one of these plugins is active, Opti-Behavior bypasses its built-in banner and reads the visitor’s consent choice from that plugin. On refuse, tracking that requires consent is withheld; on accept, tracking proceeds.

Expected result #

With a supported plugin active, only that plugin’s banner appears, and Opti-Behavior respects its consent state.

Troubleshooting #

  • Two banners appear: confirm your consent plugin is one of the supported list and is active.
  • No banner at all: in Anonymous Mode no built-in banner is shown by design.

FAQ #

What if my consent plugin is not listed? #

Opti-Behavior shows its own built-in banner instead; you can configure it separately.
