The visual editor lets you build Element test variants by editing the live page directly. Changes are stored as a diff, so no theme files change. This article explains it.

Steps #

1. Create an Element test in WP Admin ? Opti-Behavior ? A/B Testing.
2. On the Variants step, open the visual editor for a variant.
3. Click an element to edit its text, style, or visibility.
4. Save the variant; changes are stored as a diff applied at runtime.

Expected result #

Your variant renders the edited element to bucketed visitors without altering the original page source.
