Setting up the built-in consent banner

When no supported third-party consent plugin is detected, Opti-Behavior can display its own built-in consent banner in Full Tracking mode. This article shows how to configure it. Go to WP Admin → Opti-Behavior → Settings → Privacy & GDPR.

Requirements #

  • Full Tracking mode selected
  • No supported third-party consent plugin active (otherwise Opti-Behavior defers to it)

Configure the banner #

  1. Open the Privacy & GDPR tab and find the consent banner section.
  2. Set the banner position, colors, title, message, and button text.
  3. Click Save Changes.

Expected result #

The built-in banner appears to visitors with your chosen wording and styling until they make a consent choice.

Troubleshooting #

  • Banner not showing: confirm you are in Full Tracking mode and that no supported consent plugin is active.
  • To remove the banner entirely: switch to Anonymous Mode.

FAQ #

Does the banner block tracking until accepted? #

In Full Tracking mode, consent-dependent tracking follows the visitor’s choice on the banner.
